AttolloWest successfully cleared, renovated and cleaned a 2 bedroom residential bungalow in an isolated rural setting.
Background
In early December 2024 a client approached AttolloWest to clear, renovate, clean and make liveable within approximately 2 weeks. The property was structurally sound but full of unwanted belongings and featured some damp problems, nicotine staining, dated décor and dark spaces.
Challenges
The team needed to:
-Complete within 2 weeks.
-Remedy damp issues and nicotine staining.
-Bring the project in on a tight budget.
-Property was in an isolated rural setting, so bringing in/ordering in materials was challenging.
Solution
-Remove all existing waste, furniture and unwanted belongings in an environmentally sensitive way.
-Deep clean entire property.
-Strip and prepare all walls including areas suffering from damp and nicotine staining.
-Redecorate as per client’s specification.
-Deep clean post decoration.
Improvements Achieved
Significantly improved natural light throughout the home.
Provided a clean bright space for modern living in a rural location.

Be prepared if working in an isolated location, either bring EVERYTHING with you and/or when ordering materials in ensure companies have comprehensive delivery instructions to find you.
Always try to find the source of a damp problem rather than just cover it up. It can be something as simple as a leaky gutter.
This project established a replicable model for high-impact, moderate-budget redecorations that AttolloWest now uses as a template for similar projects.
